Wall Mount Jewelry Organizer - Necklace Holder, Earring & Ring Hooks, Bracelet Storage Rack - Black Schelon for Closet & Bedroom Organization

After scouring the web for necklace holders/organizers, I chose this one even though the price was higher than I wanted. I liked the fact that it holds 30-60 necklaces and has a dish at the bottom as a catch-all. I also liked that it's tall enough to hold longer necklaces.The item arrived quickly and very nicely packaged -- I was impressed with how carefully the item was packaged and wrapped. The customer service was excellent.However, when I first opened the box and laid eyes on this necklace stand, I almost put it right back in the box to return. To me, it looks very industrial, like pieces of gray metal welded together. The fact that I ordered nickel didn't help the appearance issue. The hooks are large and squared (rather than rounded) and look like claws.My husband started rattling off all the good things about this necklace holder -- all practical of course. He almost had me sold on it ... but then my daughter picked it up by the base and started pretending she was digging with it, like a steam shovel.I am still on the fence about whether or not to keep it. (NOTE Sept.4 -- I did decide to keep it). It does have a lot of positive qualities:1. It's very well made; very sturdy and heavy.2. I do like the catch-all tray on the bottom. It's nice and big, about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide.3. I like the fact that it has a lot of hooks and can hold all my necklaces.4. The hooks being squared isn't attractive, but does serve a purpose: if I needed to put more than one necklace on a hook I could spread the necklaces out a bit so they didn't get tangled in each other.5. I like the two tiers; I like that the taller tier will easily hold some of my longer necklaces (although the bottom tier is quite high too).6. My husband pointed out that the plainness of the necklace holder won't take away from the necklaces themselves -- so my necklaces will be the focal point rather than the holder (kinda like when the bridesmaid wears an ugly dress so she doesn't show up the bride).I haven't put my necklaces on it yet, and I might like it a lot better once I do. I'll be sure to report back and let you know if I warm up to this piece of equipment!UPDATE Sept. 4, 2011: I did warm up to this necklace holder! It looks better with all my necklaces on it, and it makes storing and hanging up my necklaces very easy. I've actually grown to love the flat hooks! I can hang two or three necklaces on one hook and they don't get tangled. I increased my rating of this product from 3 to 4 stars. (If I had chosen one of the other colors, I very well may have given it a 5-star rating).Very easy to install and looks nice on the wall.As other reviewers mention, this is sturdy and solid. It came with some hardware for fixing to the wall but it didn't lie flush to the wall and given the weight that it was going to support - multiple necklaces can be heavy - I opted for using drywall anchors. (Did require drill and stud finder). I have about 30 necklaces hanging from it - doubling up some necklaces on the hooks - and about five large bangle type bracelets sitting on the shelf above. It does the job well as the necklaces don't get tangled hanging like this, they are fairly easy to see and I hadn't found anything else that could accommodate longer style necklaces - they were always pooled and therefore tangled on those jewelry trees that stand on a dresser. So in this respect I give it high marks. If you don't have a lot of necklaces and don't have many that are long, I would opt for a jewelry tree type organizer and save your walls! I don't think it is the most attractive organizer and that's why I didn't give it 5 stars. It is a rather functional design and is nothing more than an adapted coat hook rack. Still I did not find anything better. It is overpriced but again, I didn't find anything any better for less.This was a present for my wife, and it is now the home for all of her necklaces. The necklaces' old home was the corner of a mirror, and when they fell, I had to move a dresser to retrieve them. In this way, it was also a present for my back.It is a very nice looking piece, but a few things impressed me about this vendor. She has written several explanatory notes which detail the hanging, the care, and the process itself. They seem to be the genuine wording of someone who is invested in the customer's love of the product, not an outside writer. I also saw an earlier review questioning the choice of mounting hardware. By the time I purchased, she had upgraded to a set of self-anchoring screws that should really work in any situation. The shelf size itself will limit the contents to what that hardware should handle - just a smart choice.Normally I don't try to read into a manufacturer's intentions in this way, but I will say that in this case, this product really seems to be marketed by someone who is passionate about it, and that makes it even more enjoyable to own.I purchased Angelynn's Wall Mount Long Necklace Holder about a month ago, and I absolutely love it! I got it in the bronze color and it looks great (i'm sure all the colors it comes in look lovely). It shipped fast and was packed securely. It was pretty easy to install (could be done by yourself - I had my dad do it so that it could come out nice and straight since I didn't trust myself to level it perfectly). It is very sturdy and can hold many necklaces. What's wonderful is that it also has the area on top where you can put other items (I put my watches in there). It has made it so much easier for me to get ready for work since it is hanging on the wall next to my closet. You don't have to rummage through your jewelry boxes anymore looking for necklaces that get tangled. A bit pricy in my opinion, but it was definitely worth it! I will use it for as long as it lasts which seems like it will be a long, long time. Definitely a great buy that will make your life so much easier!OMG SO GORGEOUS! This product is just fantastic it's so sturdy and well made not one imperfection. So often the cheap versions of this stuff are bent or dented or discolores not this thing! It's a great way to display and organize jewelry and SO WORTH THE PRICE. You really need this if you love your jewelry no more untangeling or digging. I have multiple items from Angelynns and they never disappoint. Also side note they take so much time with making sure their products are shipped well protected check out the pictures.
